On The Inside is proud to present NATUROCENE: ways to fall in love with the earth.
We live in the Anthropocene: the era in which human activity has become the dominant force shaping the Earth. The exhibition Naturocene: Ways to Fall in Love with the Earth offers a different way of looking at our place on the planet. Instead of putting humans at the centre, it sees humans as one part of a much larger community of life.
The exhibition brings together over twenty international contemporary artists, developing fluid constellations of sculpture, installation, moving image, research-based work, and hybrid media that interact dynamically.
Participating artists: Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács, Giulia Cenci, Armando Cosmos, Koen Delaere, Elspeth Diederix, Gerrit van Dijk, Karel Doing, Flatform, Ximena Garrido-Lecca, Andy Goldsworthy, Gerard Holthuis, Scarlett Hooft Graafland, Kapwani Kiwanga, Alicja Kwade, Richard Long, J.C. Mol, Maksud Ali Mondal, David Nash, Katie Paterson, Janis Rafa, Barry Saltzman, Anastasia Samoylova, Diana Scherer, Emma Talbot, Giuditta Vendrame, and Marijke van Warmerdam.
The exhibition is curated by Alessandra Laitempergher, and realized in close collaboration with the Eye Filmmuseum, with collection curator Simona Monizza.
